When will I be recognized by a health insurance company?

Here is a summary of what you need to bring with you from EMR, ASCA or NVS for registration:


EMR

«This method can only be registered by therapists who are assigned to method group No. 131 (Naturopaths NHP ) are registered or from Persons with medical or paramedical training in accordance with Appendix 1 of the EMR method list who are also registered for one of the following methods / method groups : No. 10 (anthroposophic medicine), No. 22 (Ayurveda), No. 91 (homeopathy, classic), No. 141 (osteopathy / etiopathy), No. 185 (TCM) , No. 189 (Tibetan Medicine), No. 223 (Osteopath with MSc FH in Osteopathy / Diploma GDK). » Extract from the EMR method list Vo22

ASCA Swiss Foundation for Complementary Medicine

In order to be accredited by the ASCA for Method 392 Aromatherapy, the person must have completed an examination of 150 hours in aromatherapy and either work as a therapist with one of the main methods of phytotherapy (WAM, TCM, AVM) or as a naturopath (WAM, TCM, AVM) or be registered as a doctor.

NVS Naturärzte Vereinigung Switzerland

To be recognized by the NVS as a therapist in the area of “aromatherapy”, you must have completed at least 180 hours of basic conventional medicine and 160 hours in the field of “aromatherapy”.

If you have trained as a naturopath (TEN) with at least 600 hours of medical basics and 1,200 hours in the “TEN” field, you do not need to prove any additional hours for recognition in the “aromatherapy” field.
